Our Approach
Sociability Therapy, PLLC is a specialized family private practice located in Northbrook, Illinois. For the past 15 years, we have been offering specialized treatments for our clients who struggle to socialize or interact comfortably with others for a variety of reasons including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and learning disorders. Our clinically-licensed therapists are committed to improving the lives of our clients to optimize their functioning. We implement a range of evidenced-based treatments to help children, adolescents, and adults including but not limited to the PEERS® Social Skills Curriculum and the Social Thinking® (Superflex™) Curriculum. Our methods are scientifically proven with numerous studies conducted by licensed medical professionals in university research settings. Along with these curricula, we utilize a range of therapeutic modalities and assessments to serve the needs of our clients.
Our therapists are experienced in individual therapy and employ state of the art approaches including: CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, Video Modeling, and Role Playing to help our clients optimize their functioning, gain confidence, and overcome their challenges. In addition to individual therapy, we facilitate a variety of therapeutic social skills groups that combine behavioral approaches and improvisation to improve communication and social functioning within a dynamic setting.
Additionally, given our expertise with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and co-morbid learning disorders, we offer a range of comprehensive psychological assessments for children and adults, conducted by licensed clinicians with PsyD degrees from our country’s top accredited universities.
